Dear reader,
Run for a Safe Climate arrived in Sydney last night. They are an amazingly inspiring group of people who have travelled from Cooktown with a powerful message. Their message is the message of Safe Climate Australia - climate change is real; we need to act; here are solutions so lets get moving on a national scale!
I was inspired most by the people. Policemen and firefighters who fought the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria, Australia. Their muscles were bronzed after running in the hot sun for 3,000 kms so far. They will run another 3,000kms to Melboune. It is so impressive!
They carry their own messages about climate issues. They have a message stick from nation of Indigenous people of N.T. which symbolises the responsibilities we have to treat our land respectfully. Their stories are about acting now because we have not inherited the world from our parents, but borrowed it from our children.
Please get involved! You will feel better for it. They are amazing!
